Hiding

Sometimes I sit and stare at a blank screen. I'm not sure why. My heart is speaking in silent pleas and whispers that just can't seem to articulate themselves.

There is tension between what my life displays versus all that my soul craves.

Moving from point A to point B-- to points G and H

How?

When?

Why?

For Him. Because of Him, for certain.

I feel helpless and maybe even a tiny bit gun-shy.

I am not the woman that I thought I would be. She was a vapor. The woman that I am is present and true and drawn to a way of living, thinking, worshiping and loving to which I never knew I would aspire. And right now, in the midst of this moment in time, I think that I miss that particular "me."

The woman that I am. She's here, but she's been hiding.

Do you feel hidden inside yourself?

Psalm 139:14
"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
"

Maybe as the spring awakens, so will I.

White Walls...Colored Walls {HELP}

I'm loving my new desk/office space! While I'd love to pretend that it's done, let's not kid ourselves, m'kay?

I thought that was really loving the white walls too (although it's obvious that they need a fresh coat of paint), but well, as they say "pictures never lie." And this picture is telling me "the walls need paint!"

So this is where I need your help... the "blogs and tea" print in the last picture is my color palette inspiration. That said, what color would YOU pick for the walls? To give you some perspective, this is technically our "dining room." It's immediately to the right when you walk in the front door, so the primary splashes of color really need to come from the decor rather than the walls.

That said, HELP PLEASE?!

I love their spunk! Do you think
I could rock this look?

yeah...maybe not.

Hearts, Candy and All Things Pink

Despite a plethora of germs floating around our house, I'm feeling awfully chipper about Valentine's Day this year. Peyton and Parker have embraced this holiday with more zeal than any of the others as of yet. Weird, but so so cute!

We have three belated little packages to get in the mail, but that will have to wait just a few more minutes until I go pick up Peyton from the bus.

More than the candy hearts, packages and the pink-lovey fun, I'm so content just knowing how loved I am by my Jesus (and by Jeremy-- my daily reflection of Jesus' love for me)

And today I'm taking the love challenge to beat'em all-- not for today, not for this year, but for my whole life.

"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
-John 15:13

Ta-dots and Ruffles

I've finally gone and done it. For better or worse, till death do us part, I changed the name of my blog!

{cringe.shrug.exhale}

Truly though, I have so many thoughts churning in my mind that I needed an open space to capture my ever-evolving thoughts and ideas. What better way to do that to have a ready-made prompt at my fingertips each and every day? So without further ado, introducing....*insert drum roll*..."Kirsten Loves..."

Today, I'm loving these new Aqua Ta-Dot by Patty Young for Michael Miller knit ruffle pants that I stitched up for Missy P! Click here to go straight to this fantastic tutorial by Nichole Owens over at Sixty Piggies. {Thank you, Nichole! I feel so blessed that I stumbled upon your blog.}

So many things on my heart~ I can't wait to have you all along for the ride. Let's talk faith, family, friends, fabric, food...and so many other topics that don't necessarily begin with the letter "F."

Love you today too!

Hi'ya!

I'm *sorta* back in action. My blog needs a serious face-lift, but I'm momentarily content with a semi-personalized fresh canvas.

Right now I'm sipping on a hot cup of coconut milk hot chocolate that I just concocted-- and it's good stuff! We're casein free now which = no milk, milk products or a myriad of processed foods. Another week or two and gluten is most likely taking a hike too.

Peyton's behavior last night and today has been a 180 from what we've been experiencing- so I'm tentatively calling it a success. {and the best news is that Peyton says he's a-ok with it because he feels "a lot" better}

Maybe I'll post a series on our journey with Peyton's health and healing-- it's a story that started when he was less than a week old-- we just didn't know then.

What'cha think?

More to come...ideas are tumblin' around this noggin of mine!
